Braylon M @RT39248344 14 hrs ago I feel that this show was very interesting but had a lot of faults. I feel that the acting of Charlie Hunnam was extraordinary, but the way they made Ed Gein seem almost like a hero by the end of the show demolished the interesting main story that they had. I also feel that the time jumps between the movie and the reality were an interesting concept but created a lot of unnecessary confusion. I still think that there were some good moments, like showing how he became more obsessed with killing and had mental problems, but I think it lacked very impactful storytelling and a strong connection to any of the characters. Overall I feel that acting in the show is spot on but everything else with the writing and concept are very weak. The series glorified someone who did not deserve 8 episodes. There was a vigilante sentiment that the women who he murdered deserved it. There was sympathy for someone who had no sanctity for human life and desecrated human remains. Then to weave all the other serial killers into it was just too much to stomach. I didn't watch each episode but skipped half of the episodes to finally get to the ending which was twisted and just stupid. I will not recommend or mention that I watched it. I understand showing Ed having sex with the victims but did we really need to see dude in jail get penetrated? Little weird. I assume some of it was to be theatrical but watching documentaries after seemed to follow most of the facts. Charlie brilliant performance makes you care for the character all he went through couple of quick bad decisions change his life for the worst and that hole got dark quickly. I think it is worth a watch, not the best series but was great story telling and good acting. I have definitely seen much worse. See more Read all reviews
