Igor S @Igor_Sena 3d A few episodes were good enough to stimulate the mind and make me want to see more. Others, although i understand the point, were a bit disappointing. Still worth the watch, but don't expect big budget stuff or love death and robots type quality. See more Reiss F May 20 Wow. Leading with Rakka, I was immediately hooked. Then Cooking with Bill came on and this quickly became the biggest pile of garbage I've ever sat through. 1 or 2 eps were "Eh", but the ending few episodes, with state of the art PS2 graphics, were so bad that I finally made a rottentomatoes account just to say how bad this was... I do think it could have a redemption arc if NF literally scraps every episode except for Rakka and then re releases it with an end credit scene pointing to some sort of sequel. It’s an anthology and I’m heartbroken they aren’t making more seasons at this time. The animation alone is worth watching it for, but there are certain haunting concepts that have lived rent free in my head since this came out several years ago. See more Ace W 03/06/2024 I really enjoyed Rakka, Firebase, and Zygote. I appreciate the creative vision of the others but in all honesty, it seemed that these episodes really stole the show in terms of their premise, story, and production value. I thought Firebase was a really unique concept that would make a fantastic game or feature-length film to the tune of Annihilation (2018). A lot of people seem to be hating on this for the misses, but I think this should be viewed as a portfolio of work - including rough drafts - and that this criticism is really an undue shame. See more Lisa D @Lilibi01 12/14/2023 This is what you would've gotten, were you to rent a B-movie at your local video rental. There's definitely some budget and ideas in the short episodes. But the writing is abysmally bad. There's just flakes of dialogue, dished up by actors with varying levels of acting ability. I do think it could be an interesting task for movie students to watch and try and rewrite some of these episodes. Analyze why they don't work and how, in 20 minutes, you can create a satisfactory episode like Love, Death and Robots did manage to do. See more Read all reviews
