After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. "Outlander" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.

It’s finale time for this epic tale of time-traveling love, war, kinky sex and bloated storytelling as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan leave their hearts in the highlands, and the series ends as it began—essential viewing for incurable romantics Go to Full Review

Imagine a love story so profound that it endures across centuries? "Outlander" did and does. Go to Full Review

Though it’s a far cry from the sultry days of Season 1 Jamie and Claire, there’s still enough chemistry there to scratch the itch. Go to Full Review

With only 10 episodes to go in all of Outlander, it’s just good to have the gang back together as quickly as possible. Go to Full Review

LISA V @Lizzy838 1d Hats off to the actors for managing to deliver some of the corniest lines in televised history. How they manage to keep straight faces on camera is a real discipline. My cringe meter hit the red several times. The opening episode becomes somewhat convoluted as it progresses. Too many references to days long past. Ultimately, Jamie and Claire are adorable as they stumble through the past, heading for an unknown future. This is the last series, and it is about time. See more J R @Genevieve15 3d Looking forward to this season as it develops and curious to see who the Cunninghams reveal themselves to be ….. They appear to be the arch enemies of this season. However, as much as I loved the episode, I thought we were all sort of catapulted into the first scene with Vasquez and forced to watch in complete confusion only to have it explained shortly after. The scene where the family was reunited had the expected emotion displayed. Conversely , Remind me never to build a beautiful house forJamie and Claire if I expect an appropriate level of gratitude expressed in emotion.lol. Like all of us, I am thrilled that Outlander has returned and cannot wait for what is to come ….. See more Margaret T @MaggieP 4d So far love S8, although, like others, I too was confused with the opening scene. Since there isn't sufficient time to cover every story line, there should have been a backstory on this Vasquez character leading up to the "under cover op" by Jamie and Claire. The rest of EP1 was very good in laying the groundwork for what's to come and yes, the acting is superb!!! I cried with Jamie and Claire during that beautiful intimate scene and the family/friends reunions on Fraser's Ridge. Looking forward to seeing all 10 episodes of the final season. It's already an emotional ride!!! See more Stephen C @bob25009 4d 4 successful drama episodes on Starz. Ages 17 and older. See more Read all reviews
