After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. "Outlander" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.

It’s finale time for this epic tale of time-traveling love, war, kinky sex and bloated storytelling as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan leave their hearts in the highlands, and the series ends as it began—essential viewing for incurable romantics Go to Full Review

Though it’s a far cry from the sultry days of Season 1 Jamie and Claire, there’s still enough chemistry there to scratch the itch. Go to Full Review

'Outlander' may have been excessive, absurd, or even out of control at times, but it has also consistently shown for many years that a love story only works when we continue to believe in it until the very end. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Jeanie T @Jeanie943 Aug 3 All wrapped up with a typically mysterious ending. It has been great through its run looking at the history and whilst the cloying sentimentality was not for me it was all part of it. Fine show overall. See more Britney R @BritRee Jul 23 They did a game of thrones speed run through it. Bunch of pointless plots that went nowhere, killing off beloved characters just for shock value, and a terrible ending. See more jULIA M @Julia39 Jul 22 Though the finale of Outlander had some lovely romantic moments, the season as a whole was terrible. especially given that so much superior material was left on the floor , so to speak, in the last book. The whole season was heavy with foreboding, Fergus's death was unnecessary from the point of view of the plot, also wasted was the time spent on Frances because it went nowhere, and finally, the scene with Jamie's wounding missed the opportunity to show Claire bringing him back to life with the blue light, the climax of her healing power so central to the series. It would have been much better to have followed the book and clearly shown Jamie alive with both of them happily back at the Ridge. Other objections: It is unbelievable that Claire wouldn't have known that Frank called Brianna deadeye; Claire shouldn't have looked about 20 years older than Jamie; the baby's life is never adequately explained and the idea that the lacemaker could have remembered this song is unbelievable. See more D L @DaturaDreamer Jul 14 Was slow and kind of monotonous. They should have explained more things, like why Claire was able to bring the baby back to life. And more about the time travel stuff. And just made up an ending that wasn’t ambiguous. See more Harvey B @RT76294907 Jul 5 Slow and sappy. A surprising disappointment. See more Diane L. @RT05953134 Jun 23 One of my favorite series! I will miss Jaimie and Clare, of course the rest of the actors. I will be watching the entire series from start to finish soon.
