After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. "Outlander" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.

It’s finale time for this epic tale of time-traveling love, war, kinky sex and bloated storytelling as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan leave their hearts in the highlands, and the series ends as it began—essential viewing for incurable romantics Go to Full Review

Imagine a love story so profound that it endures across centuries? "Outlander" did and does. Go to Full Review

Though it’s a far cry from the sultry days of Season 1 Jamie and Claire, there’s still enough chemistry there to scratch the itch. Go to Full Review

'Outlander' may have been excessive, absurd, or even out of control at times, but it has also consistently shown for many years that a love story only works when we continue to believe in it until the very end. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Despite Outlander's dramatized flubs, season 8 managed to deliver on magic in a way it hasn't done in years. Go to Full Review

Jake S. @TheBrewMan 2d Many hated most of the season. Get over it. It was well maid and had many side story’s that were great. The finale? SPECTACULAR! The very end? Perfect. See more Lilly P @RT49586473 2d I just fast forwarded my way through the finally. What fluf See more Johana P @RT61784349 2d 8° temporada com certeza foi uma decepção. Tantas coisas pra abordar mas decidiram fazer vários episódios filler que não explicavam nada e levaram a série pra lugar nenhum. No fim, não deram protagonismo aos protagonistas e me deu uma sensação que apenas perdi meu tempo. Definitivamente, tirando raros episódios não me diverti. Uma pena. See more Stephanie C. @luckycharms317 2d Season 8 was a deeply disappointing ending to a series built on family, home, legacy, and love across time. After years of separation and loss, viewers deserved to finally see Claire and Jamie at the center of their family on Fraser’s Ridge. Instead, the Ridge felt like a backdrop, and Brianna, Roger, Jemmy, and Davy were underdeveloped. Davy’s arrival felt rushed compared to the emotional weight once given to Jemmy’s birth. Jenny, Lallybroch, and Jocasta were largely ignored despite being essential to Jamie’s history and the Fraser legacy. The Faith/Fanny twist was especially frustrating. If Fanny is meant to be Claire and Jamie’s biological granddaughter, that revelation deserved explanation and follow-through. Her future, possible time-travel ability, and connection to William were left unresolved. The finale lacked the clarity and emotional closure a long-running series deserves. Season 8 felt rushed, choppy, and unworthy of Outlander’s legacy. See more Denise W @Denise274 2d The writing and acting was superb as usual, as usual. However the nearly hour long goodbyes and death march to the end was overly depressing and not at all fun to watch. I also don’t like the trend in series finales where the writer lets the viewer decide the ending that best suits them. Take postion! This was done in Stranger Things as well. I as that the decision-makers please stop it. Overall the 7 Seasons and 9 episodes in Season 8 lived up to the quality and depth of the book series. Loved every minute of it. I’m inclined to re-read some of the books. But again the last episode was NOT GOOD! See more Kt S @RT03887237 3d I thoroughly loved the entire series. Until the last episode. EITHER they should have had Jamie die and Claire gone back to the chilren, OR by some miracle she's a witch and he comes back to life but I could have lived with the uncertainty. The absolutely asinine scene with Gabaldon signing books with seemingly the stupid journal? Ruined ALL EIGHT SEASONS for me. It was so mind numbingly stupid to have that scene in there. Just Gabaldon trying to make herself look great when all she was really doing is ruining the entire show. I was so excited to watch a finale that DIDN'T let me down - most of them do - and I really thought this one wouldn't. But it was so much worse than all the others. I no longer care to read the last book if she ever actually publishes it which I doubt. I was going to binge watch the entire thing again, but I don't care about it anymore. That's how badly it's ruined. PSA quit watching when the credits start. It's still going to piss you off but not as bad See more Read all reviews
