Even with a couple teeth knocked out, Parks and Recreation remains one of the most enjoyable shows on television. Nothing on the air, comedy or drama, is as insightful about human failings and still so perversely optimistic about human behavior.

Seems unavoidably on the decline... All the believable romantic landings have been stuck, all the best friendships have been sealed and reaffirmed time and time again, and all the silliest names have been given out to guests and recurring oddballs.

The future is bright for Leslie Knope.

Just hearing that peppy theme song is like curling up in bed after a long time away from home; you wonder how you survived without it and you never want to leave.

It's a clever way to explain away Pratt's need to be in London for most of the season, but it also gives us the opportunity to see April and Andy function apart providing the show with some pretty sweet.

This isn't the first time that Parks has closed a major episode on a scene that felt like a great series-ender.

Parks And Recreation has quietly been proving itself to be the best show about nerds (and the nerds who love them) on television.

OK, this one was pretty much inevitable and a shining example of a happy, healthy relationship on TV.

It's great to see Leslie hang on in NBC's Thursday night comedy lineup, just as she's risen through the ranks of Pawnee city government. Nice girls, it seems, can overcome their irritating reputations if they work hard enough and long enough.

Parks is back with a vengeance.

By in large these were much more solid episodes, really banking on what makes each character so strong and enjoyable in the first place.

Both "Fillibuster" and "Recall" had the supporting cast back doing what they do best.

While I loved the Nadia/Tom and Leslie/Donna plots a lot, I think that Ron and Ben's stab at plotting Ron's post-death plans was the standout of the episode.

"London" is simply magnificent, and if this is what the show can still live up to six seasons in (the point at which The Office, in comparison, was careening off a creative cliff), I could not be more excited for whatever the show has in store for us.

PARKS IS BACK! Sorry, but it's worth shouting from rooftops.

One of the best parts about Leslie is her resilience and willingness to do what's best for all involved, even if there is resistance; hence the theme of everything Parks and Recreation, and why I love this show so deeply.

With the sort of breakneck speed that helps make Parks so good, "London" gave us immediate answers.

The characters remain a great deal of fun to spend time with every Thursday, even if it's not always been clear where they are headed in a larger sense.

Beyond blissful laughs, Parks and Recreation offers a healthy image of political cooperation at a time when we could really use it.

One show that definitely improved over time is NBC's Parks and Recreation, which offers the night's most appealing episode in its super-sized sixth-season opener
