This is to this day one of the best TV shows I have seen and I am 63 y/o. I was SO disappointed when they ended it after three seasons.

Was looking forward to this very much so, but never thought for second that series two could be as good as series one. But i was proven wrong. They have stepped up their game even more so. This series really ticks all the boxes for me

Penny Dreadful beautifully mixes a selection of classic horror and scifi characters into a single plot. But what I find deeply compelling about Penny Dreadful is that it confirms that the Devil is more than any of the other fictional horror character but does, in fact, exist. He walks just in front of our eyes in the form of a Nun talking about "sin" and "shame" to 6 years old girls. He exists because he's present in our imaginary and is implanted there in a very tender age. Hell is, for many of us, having to digest the trauma of child abuse in the form of religious indoctrination.

Great but not as good as Season 1, plot takes a different direction with witches and Lucifer instead of vampires and Dracula. Feels a little disjointed from the first story.
