For the most part this is clever, rude, decidedly weird and sharply funny. Very like Green Wing and, thankfully, very unlike a lot of recent ITV comedy. Oink, oink! Go to Full Review
Anita Singh Daily Telegraph (UK) 07/25/2024

Funny sitcoms are a rarity these days. Perhaps they have been for decades -- was The Thin Blue Line funny? Piglets is just the latest lacklustre offering. The writers haven’t picked the wrong subject here, but they needed better jokes. Go to Full Review

As it is, it falls between two stools and lands with a bit of an uncomedic splat. Go to Full Review

Piglets is highly promising with police training officer Mark Heap tutoring cadets in the code-names for drugs as revealed by his snitch. Go to Full Review

Kelly C @DeuceHoledm Jan 22 Haven’t watched many British shows lately and this one is quite witty. Don’t like the slap stick comedy. See more Alex B @RT07591026 Jan 11 The most offensive part about Piglets is the fact that the Telegraph's Anita Singh so clearly only watch the first half of episode 1 before trashing this genuinely funny and well-done comedy, Singh cited a scene (say that ten times fast) where a training officer makes a joke about their hearing ("don't get on my bad side'') but missed the later scene where a cadet addresses a female superior officer talking about his high-ranking police constable mother- "My mum, Ma'am...mum Ma'am..."-before immediately turning that into a beat box. The show can also be absurd (Mark Heap FTW) and crudely funny but has plenty of the same great punny banter endemic in the previous generation of police comedies. Truly, there's plenty of safe, warm, fuzzy tv comedies out there that take no risks and pander to its audience. Piglets may take some swings, but I know it isn't one of those comedies because I didn't stop watching it halfway through :P See more Bob P @RT89336860 11/08/2024 Critics and the police have taken this far too seriously. It had me crying with laughter. The humour is fast and imaginative for the most part. Bits of it were a tad cringeworthy but mostly it was laugh out loud perfect. Well done ITV. roll on series 2 See more Daniel P @RT04904480 08/04/2024 Quite possibly the most unfunny show I’ve ever seen. Watching this series was a total waste of an afternoon I’d have been better entertained watching paint dry. See more peter h @RT05012023 07/29/2024 Seriously bad acting ,stupid script ,who ever commissioned the series should resign as a complete waste of money ,Itv would of done better showing repeats of the brilliant hilarious mind your language at least that was comedy unlike this dribble of a high school drama lesson.
