See more heidi N @Motherofalien Jun 10 I stumbled on this documentary - and had heard of Rafa Nadal, but never followed him. Being a sports fan I clicked on the first episode. I sat straight through all 4. I absolutely loved this in depth study of a world class athlete. What formed him, what motivated him, the ups and downs of a top competitive career and what it took to stay on top. Any athlete who loves what they do and who has worked, suffered and understands the commitment, will be moved by this documentary. I felt honored to have been able to travel on Rafa's journey. I understood it, I cried at times and I felt I was watching a person who was able to actually do what we all dream of, but fall far short. If you are any type of sport person this is a must see. Athletic or not, it’s a must watch for all. Cried my eyeballs off in the last episode. You rarely see both players in the same shot. It a lot of watching Nadal hit forehands in slow motion. See more Alaine B @AlaineBeek Jun 4 We’ve all known Rafa as a super tennis player that never gave up. But the documentary revealed so much more. You both loved the man whilst yelling ‘stop’ at the television. But, as he said, he couldn’t change. I found myself wishing his Uncle would have stepped back much earlier, that someone didn’t punch Novak in the face when he was imitating Rafa. Unlike Novak Rafa held his own and showed class. So much revealed. Loved it all. See more Steve S @Stevinci Jun 3 I watched the Federer documentary, 12 Days, and thought it was self indulgent garbage. The Nadal documentary is great! Rafa's story is like a movie, with great pains and sacrifice. I found myself asking if it was worth it, all that Rafa suffered physically and mentally to play tennis as long as he did. I did not expect to question to arise, but part of me is skeptical of any sports goal that leads to injuries and premature aging. Towards the end of the documentary, I found myself spontaneously praying for Rafa that he'd find inner peace. See more Read all reviews
