I really enjoyed this series. In fact, it's the best thing I've binge watched in the last two years. The plot was great. It intermixed many current events and real people into the story line. All the characters were very well played and seemed to be perfectly matched to their roles. Alan Tudyk played an impressive role as the alien. Subtle comedy, serious personal interactions, and even some great references to modern life, culture and problems. In my opinion it is well worth the watch! We're anxiously awaiting the next season. JJ We sat and watched the whole series in two days.

Been a while since I watched this; if memory serves, it was hilariously quirky, with a novel fish-out-of-water take and many fun characters all teaching the titular character what it means to be human.

Absolutely love the show. This is really for everyone and hits so many important issues of our time. I began watching because i enjoy shows about extraterrestrials, science, and space. But wow is it so much more. It has a very light, funny, and pleasant mood to it. Many parts are relatable and there is nothing elitist that makes you wonder what the show is talking about. Even if you don't understand the entire depth of a characters experience, you can still enjoy the scene. So I got hooked on the humor and science but then saw just how much the screenwriters care about social issues and I am always blown away with the delivery. They talk about things like the gender pay gap, sexual assault in the workplace, abusive relationships, Islamophobia, PTSD, LGBT, child / parent relationships, divorce, adoption, etc. They fit so much in, but they do it flawlessly and in a way that (at least what applies to me) I find it to be done in a very respectful way that is brilliantly executed and not forced. As a Muslim I really enjoyed the character that they had represent us. She is very intelligent and morally strong, very good role model for our young women. May Allah bless her, the entire crew, and the writers. They also made the police very relatable as most are wonderful people. In this case they had an African-American male and a female. Both did a wonderful job. I appreciate that they had so many scenes that show his PTSD backstory and how that affects his relationship with his family and his dating. They also showed the role of what became his therapy dog "cletus". I just started the second season as I write this but wow am I blown away.

While this show follows a well worn path, it success lies in the performance of Alan Tudyk and clever writing. Hilarious and touching at times, this show is one 2021's best

Just started watching this series. Great performance playing an alien trying to pass as a human and then watching the real humans scratching their heads while trying to work with it. I love the many ways the alien hasn't quite mastered the nuances of being a human and is outright clueless in other ways. It's funny. Many of the characters are likeable too.

BEST COMEDY EVER! Non stop laughs even the drama is funny. Alan Tudyk deserves an award as best actor in a comedy and the show itself deserves best comedy. Alan Tudyk will make you believe he really is an Alien!

Very interesting show and cool idea. It is a little farfetched as far as characters act to seeing an Alien but its never meant to be serious and more comical. Unfortunately the second season strays away from the story and gets very political so may not be worth getting into as you maybe let down later.

This is a very light hearted, funny, easy watch while having dinner or casually doing other things. It generally has some very moments and interactions. Season 2 is not as strong as 1 but still optimistic about season 3.
