Michael and Ashley Cordray are on a mission to save centuries-old homes on the island of Galveston, Texas. The home renovation specialists have a passion for preserving the island's history and won't let these architectural gems get wiped off the map. "All of these homes have character and their own story, but they're being torn down all over town," Ashley says. Whether the homes are slated for demolition or have been deteriorating for decades, the duo strive to revive the properties by restoring the original wall-to-wall historic charm and adding modern amenities.

Cindy H @RT15212769 May 23 I have watched since Season 1 and have always been impressed. Good show and Michael and Ashley are likable and knowledgeable. Galveston is full of beautiful old homes and and the show showcases that. See more melody W @RT68168613 May 3 My primary reason for disliking this show is even after watching several seasons, I never liked any "restoration" they did. But even more important is the fact that I feel the word "restoration" is a major misnomer. They seem to select one minor feature of the house or building to actually restore - leaving the majority to REMODEL. Having been to Galveston many times, I am especially respectful of those who devote themselves to its restoration. But this couple is not doing that. They rarely do a historical research on the property, and they constantly incorporate their own ideas and modern design that are contraindicated for the property.
