Critic Reviews for Seinfeld Season 7

All Critics (5) | Top Critics (2)

Season 7 might have the strongest season-long storyline...Season 7 also saw what could be the most memorable supporting character of the whole series, the Soup Nazi.

Jul 17, 2018 | Full Review…

It involves its more dedicated viewers in an elaborate game of connect-the-dots, tying every extraneous idea to the rest, weaving a tapestry of empty detail and making something of nothing.

Seinfeld's renewed energy is exhilarating to watch, because it has been accomplished with a certain amount of conceptual daring.

For his last season on the show (he would return for the finale and continue to voice Steinbrenner) David goes back to the model he employed in seasons prior.

Best of all, this is the season where the glutinous Newman comes into his own, hatching plans and giggling like his dinner depends upon it.

Audience Reviews for Seinfeld: Season 7

  • Oct 02, 2018
Season 7 was Seinfeld at its height. Even people who weren't fans of the show understand a reference to the Soup Nazi, even 20+ years later. Standout episodes include "The Hot Tub," "The Pool Guy," "The Seven," "The Bottle Deposit" and, my personal favorite, "The Rye." Also famous for George's season-long engagement to Susan.
