Critic Consensus: Shameless' sixth season charts a tragic trajectory for the Gallaghers, leaving viewers in suspense as they hope against hope that this family from the wrong side of the tracks can't find long-lasting stability.

News & Interviews for Shameless: Season 6
The season six premiere finds our Gallaghers more stable than ever, but that only means it's the fall from grace will be harder and more devastating.
Season six continued to showcase this series' mastery of tackling complicated societal issues with authority, and genuine first-person perspectives.
Overall, season 6 does feel like a big step up from season 5 (which was the weakest one the series has had to date).
While it's not a complete fix of the missteps in season five, it's at the very least a very tentative start.
Audience Reviews for Shameless: Season 6
Shameless is one of my two favorite shows ever (up there with Dexter). Every season I wonder how they can keep Shameless interesting and every time, by the end of the first episode of the season, I'm already excited about watching the next. Season 6 is as awesome as the last. If you've never seen Shameless, you've got the advantage because you don't have to wait for the next episode.
