thank goodness 'Siren' is back for Season 3 a lot took place during the previous season's cliffhanger; Ben, his girlfriend, Maddie and Ryn officially became closer than ever, more of the mermaid's came from out of the water into Bristol Cove, the government did their digging and found out the truth and the public became fully aware of their existence two months after the secret was out the humans and the mermaids created a huge division either for them to integrate or remain separated or so we thought....it was all a 'what-if' scenario turns out and with the stem cell research from Ryn's DNA Ben's mother could possibly walk again next to Ryn actually giving birth to a baby with the help of a cult that has much bigger plans than everyone realizes Season 3 opens with the arrival of a new mermaid, Tia from a warring tribe of Ryn's species, she infiltrates a plane departing from Russia and escapes into the water Ryn's baby is also born which could signal the survival of her entire race Tia wants to unify with Ryn's tribe to cleanse the ocean and take back their territory but it involves wiping out the humans entirely so a civil war may be on the horizon, she also has a secret weapon to tip the scales to her advantage Robb Wellens is an environmentalist looking to clean up plastic from the water and he might have a slight interest in Maddie but he's hiding something Ben starts experimenting on himself with the stem cells but there are side effects, can he actually be with Ryn on land and sea? The finale leads to an all out attack on humankind orchestrated by Tia but can Ben, Maddie, and Ryn stop her? Can the warring tribes be at peace or destroy one another? Maddie then suffers a loss and the future remains uncertain for Ben Sad to say this is the end of the series on Freeform like so many, which is a shame because i was loving this world a lot mixing mermaid mythology with young adult drama Ben, Maddie, and Ryn were some of my favorite characters able to bond in many ways and hoping to bridge the gap between land folk and sea people It's true too that we can make the world a better place maybe even with love I'm still glad though Freeform was able to give me something new in the realm of myth and the real world ‘Siren' was a breath of fresh air after the absence of ‘Pretty Little Liars' and ‘Beyond' and I'll miss it. This was the best season as well. If you're looking to watch something mixing the love of mermaids and addictive drama then this is something to check out.

I absolutely LOVED the first two seasons. The mermaid lore and interesting characters really pulled me in. But the third season came around, and suddenly one of my favorite shows turned into the one that angers me the most. The way they butcher the polyamorous relationship, splitting it up because of pressure from fans, and replacing it with the straight white and average couple. One of which who desacrated a mermaid's grave, a mermaid who died tragically and wasn't able to get a proper burial. It took the badass wonderful mermaid main character, and turned her into a nuclear family dream wife, seen in Ben's vision of her baking for him like a good wife. I'm fine with drama, but they took one of the only good poly reps and ruined it. Seeing the show ignore Maddie and focus on Ryn and Ben made me sick.

This story started with Ryn"s baby, Faded love of Maddie towards Ben, Ben trying to become one of Mermaid. The story moves fast with biggest war on ending episode. Ending was Cliffhanger one. Finally They cut out the threesome. Ryn and Ben love become stronger. They are cute family and looks made for each other. I think They will mostly cut out maddie plots on Season 4 because she is move out with his new lover. Waiting For Season 4!!!!!!!!!

This is the best season yet. I love seeing more of Ryn's culture and tribe, not to mention her adorable baby! Also, love Ben and Ryn's relationship. Would highly recommend this show to anyone who likes lore retellings with a twist.
