For some people, leading a normal life is made more difficult by having damaged teeth, which causes an embarrassment that prevents them from wanting to go on dates, go to work or even just leave the house. "Smile" aims to help improve life for some people in such a situation through transformational dental procedures. The series follows each patient's journey through the process that -- they hope -- ends in a successful restoration. Dentists based in New York and Los Angeles use their expertise in the field to improve their clients' smiles, helping restore their confidence. Among the people looking to improve their smiles are a woman with a disorder that prevents many of her teeth from fully growing in and a man who was left with a shattered mouth following an accident in a high school baseball game.
