This special Halloween episode of South Park lovingly satirizes the classic cartoon Scooby-Doo. The rock band Korn, who happen to be in town to perform a concert, helps Kenny, Kyle, Stan, and Eric stop the tormenting they have been getting from the fifth graders. They also uncover the mystery behind the ghost pirates. While the entire episode pays tribute to Scooby-Doo, Star Wars jokes are also to be found in "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghosts Mystery," which first aired October 27, 1999, on Comedy Central. The band did their own vocal work on the episode.
