Some devotees may disagree, but for most of us, grown-up and otherwise, a creature whose to-do list consists of the single word "nothing," is probably better appreciated in small doses than in one 90-minute sitting.

it's kind of meh i would not recommend it

The animation is vibrant and colourful, the voice acting is great and there are lots of laughs. However, that can't excuse the fact that the show misses the presence of the old writers and a few "special" episodes that really aren't and are just called that to get more ratings. And good Lord, was that WhoBob WhatPants episode disgustingly mean-spirited (Admit it, you cringed too when everyone called SpongeBob "idiot boy" even when you were little). It doesn't help that the "SpongeBob with amnesia" plot device was rushed.

What a funny season of spongbob squarepants

This was the final season when Stephen Hillingburg commented on episodes. Of course it would be good! I find this to be the most underrated Spongebob season of all time. While there were a few stinkers like WhoBob WhatPants and Fungus Among Us, they weren't completely majorly terrible like seasons 6-9 stinkers.

Season 5 is an improvement over Season 4 in some ways, but is worse in other ways. The quality of the good episodes got better, and there were more of them than in the last season, but the quality of the bad episodes got significantly worse.
