The first season was a fun escape during the pandemic, a lovely, vicarious journey when we could barely leave the house. But the episode with the fisherman -- who had graciously invited him to his home, spent time with him, cooked for him -- was shocking. Tucci completely ambushed this man in a spoiled, entitled display of rudeness and ugliness, something Bourdain would have never done. Poof! The magic was gone, and with it the illusion that the charmless Tucci was up for the job overall. How many times can he utter the same stale adjectives ("Amaaaaazing! Oh my gaaaaawd! Oh wow." I checked in this season and it seems even worse. Same old stuff, but he seems angry and bored on top of it. How about a host who knows something about food? Or an actor with charisma and a sense of fun, like Rupert Everett, who's already shown he's great at this type of thing? Ugh. What a disappointment.

Tucci is a fabulous actor. His turn as a creep in the film Bones was indecently perfect. But, Searching for Italy is not for him. How many time can you say "delicious"? Leading us around Italy is pretty boring. Just turn off the sound and look at the beautiful scenery. This was not made for him. And he, it.

It was a very fun show to watch, admittedly. Most travel, cooking shows are, as long as they don't blow it. This show really tried to blow it a couple of times and ruin it. It is produced by CNN after all. 1. Who goes to someones house, invited, only to corner the host about their politics. The host, way smarter than the tv host took the high road, so glad he did. Made the episode. Did I mention it was produced by CNN. 2. Immigration was a constant towards the middle and end of the series. The tv host thinks everyone is against it, no, most people want it done legally so the host country doesn't suffer too much. The tv host is worth $25 mill. estimated. It's so nice to glide thru life on that cloud and want everyone else to pay for their passions. Tv host was payed and got a great trip besides. Some people, most, don't get either. I liked the show, but man oh man did they try to sabotage it. Funny that immigration wasn't mentioned until the hook was already in your cheek.

The first season was amazing. I have been to Italy many times and he expands the mind on what you should try and experience. I do fear that Americans will now flock to Bologna now...Great job Mr. Tucci

I think it's awesome! It's inspired me to begin planning my first post COVID trip to Italy! Stanley Tucci is endearing as well as sexy, the content is inspiring, educational and engaging. Cant wait for season 2!

I love everything about this show! It puts me in my happy place, with food, culture, history, art, and lovable host Stanley Tuccci, who is passionate about all of this. Seasoned with a sense of humor!

So well produced and Stanley's authentic love and curiosity for all things food, wine, terroir, and people. Hope he gets many more seasons. We're addicted to discovering Italy through his perspective !

Well, love seeing Italy, but Stanley Tucci is no Anthony Bourdain. And he certainly is showing his hollywood mentality of the cancel culture, when the fisherman from Milan told him to come back and visit Salvini because he was friends with him. Tucci said, he would love to come back but not to visit Salvini. Who says that? How rude and keep politics out of the show this is suppose to be about food and culture. A bit disappointed.
