Season 1 - Best Episode: Episode 9 All those who Wander. Anson Mount is such an amazing presence on screen. He makes a tremendous captain and helps Captain Pike's character to shine properly. Star Trek has always been a favorite of mine so I got really excited with each episode. This one takes you on an adventure with a new crew before Kirk and the Original Trek with a few familiar character's. First Discovery, then Picard and now this. Star Trek is making a solid comeback and I'm loving every minuet of it.

Best new Star Trek in decades. Also, this proves the point that you don't need goofy, insanely complex plotting (*ahem* Discovery *ahem*). Just a straight-forward exploration show with some more modern, deeper character work is perfect. Just basic, good writing. Don't get me wrong, I thought Discovery was perfectly fine (unlike some people). But this is far, far better written.

Excellent! Great characters and story lines, with a familiar earnestness and sense of humor. A very worthy prequel to the original series - highly recommended for all Star Trek fans (or those who want to understand what all the fuss is about). Well done!

Ok, the Elysium King wasn't great, but the rest were good and the season ending was awesome. After they destroyed Discovery and made me question Star Trek with Picard, at least this is really good.

Finally! Paramount + nailed this one (so far). Absolutely brilliant if you are a fan of Star Trek Original Series, Next Gen, and Deep Space 9. The writers do justice to the characters and the original intent of the series, plus the storytelling is full of OS references, characters, and fun easter eggs. VERY DIFFERENT from the dribble Discovery is... (in case that series put you off the franchise). Paramount: look after the ST:BNW writers, they GET IT.

Paramount finally got Star Trek right. Captures the spirit of the original. Best Star Trek since Voyager. Episodic format probably helps. Discovery and Picard writers please take note.

The best new Star Trek show since DS9 and possibly the best single season since TOS. This show gets it and has saved the mediocre to awful attempts of the other Paramount+ Star Trek shows.

I'm late to say it, but "Strange New Worlds" is the best Star Trek, well... probably since the original. With only episode 8 as an outlier (since I'm not a fan of the "let's all dress up and pretend" episodes ,) I really thought the show nailed so much of what makes Star Trek great. Great humor, chemistry, characters, adventures - I could go on. But really impressed. Bonus points for actually having to take the Enterprise for real repairs. That's always been one of the things that irks me about too many Star Trek shows, they get in a helluva fight, sparks and fires and parts flying around and then well... an hour later we're back at "all systems nominal." And double bonus points for not using time travel as a cheap way to try and create story. The sloppy overuse of time travel is by far the biggest thing about Star Trek that irks me. Anyway, it was a great series. I highly recommend it. And now, I'm onto season 4 of Discovery, which is good - but just two episodes in I'm reminded of why SNW is better. Though Discovery is definitely one of the best Star Treks too, I'd give it a B to B+ depending on the season, and that's light years better than Picard. Yeah, I said it. Picard was a C- series at it's best moments.

Dull, unoriginal, poorly written disappointment of a show. It relies on the audience being satisfied with nostalgia implemented badly. The terrible shoehorning in of elements that have recently been overused or badly reimagined that the audience will have heard of. Please try and write a new story or create interesting characters that are not related to Noonien Soong or Khan Noonien Singh. Less time trying to service "memberberries"and more time trying to be true to the ethos of Gene Roddenberry and write some original episodes. Edit: The actors are for the most part very good as are the VFX and production design. The problems are all with the writing.

A very welcome return to stories and styles of real Star Trek. There is a small bit of Feminist BS but I will overlook that for good storytelling.
