The stylised visual palette speaks to Maul’s tortured extremes, which is helpful because the writing doesn’t add a great deal to a character who has most often been a menacing adversary. It’s one for the dedicated fans.

Gorgeous animation, lackluster character writing and story. The show is supposed to be about Maul, but Maul feels like a passenger for most of his own show, while the story tries to get us to care about the painfully generic and sometimes outright cliche side characters that Maul meets on Janix. The action is good, the setting is terrific, the music is pretty average for Star Wars television, the story is mediocre and the characters are lackluster. Overall the experience is pretty middling.

Wow! This delivered and more! Each episode better than the last - Sam Witwer, amazing as Maul. Best animated Star Wars series and I wouldn’t mind sharing the opinion that it is in fact the best series Disney has produced so far.
