This animated entry in the "Star Wars" franchise fills the gap between the events of "Episode III" and "Episode IV." Imperial forces occupy a remote planet and are ruling -- and ruining -- its inhabitants' lives with an iron fist. A clever, disparate crew aboard the starship Ghost takes a stand against the Empire, facing new villains and colorful adversaries. The rebels on the Ghost include leader Kanan, ace pilot Hera, feisty heroine Sabine, tough guy Zeb and 14-year-old con artist Ezra.

Thrawn is a more than welcome addition to the cast, significantly raising the stakes for the Rebels, leading to a thrilling final battle. The reason is it is set in the imperial era which is where Star Wars is best. I love seeing the beginning of the rebellion and I really like the crew of the ghost. Now it is nice to see that the rebellion has fully been formed. The dynamic between the ghost crew and even Rex. The duels are amazing. I love that they introduced the best imperial ever Thrawn. He is so calculated and calm and that makes him the best strategist. I like Kallus' redemption. I like that Ezra Bridger is now WAY better at the force and lightsaber combat and is now a full fledged Jedi Knight. I like how they showed Kanan needing to beal with being blind after being blinded by Maul in last season's finale. Speaking of Maul his death was amazing.
