The conclusion to the central mystery is rushed, which is the biggest casualty, as the viewer has high hopes for its resolution. Sal D @JustTheLaw Jun 7 Hmm. I did not read any of the reviews before binge-watching Season 1. The first curveball twist was telegraphed from maybe the end of Episode 1 (or Episode 2)....but I was expecting it. The last curveball in finale was, well, unexpected and brought the series back for me. I'm not sure why show runners think more is more.....the series could have been cut down by 75-90 minutes and ended up being more impactful. Do we really need to have every series be at least 8 episodes or have an extra hour to keep eyeballs glued? Wish there was a sense of audience economy because the key parts of the script were watered down way too much by the unnecessary elements, That said, I seriously look forward to Season 2.
