Suits can feel bland and bloated, but flashes of sharp dialogue help bring the show to life.

Audience Reviews for Suits: Season 1

From the pilot episode to setting up not only the season two antagonist but the over all thorn in the law firms side. You get witty humor and sign of the times movie and tv show quotes between mike Ross and Harvey Specter. Season 1 is an easy entry into the Suits world filled with characters that build a place to stay and characters that keep the plot moving if only to be in a few episodes.

    Hammy, clichéd and predictable.

Only watched this to see Meghan Markle/Duchess of Sussex. I saw her, so have no further use for this series. Tired of mostly male casts about rich men I'd hate in real life.

I loved "The Good Wife." And I'm enjoying immensely "The Good Fight". But what's next when there are no new Christine Baranski plot lines rocking the legal world? So I thought I would try "Suits". The first couple of episodes felt like cheap knock-offs of "Wife/Fight." But once I adjusted, the last episodes of Season 1 felt fine, the interaction of the two main leads became more interesting. This is the first TV work I've seen from Meghan Markle and she's good so far. And gorgeous. But the REAL SURPRISE is Rick Hoffman. At first, he has terrible cliched lines and ugly facial expressions, very unlikable. Then, there is a surprising shirtless locker room scene: he looks better baring some muscle and skin. Then, he does a good thing for someone. So it's Markle and Hoffman stealing scenes here in Season One. I'll at least watch another season or two.

The fun but silly premise is made believable by good writing and the hammy but enjoyable acting, a perfect combination between competence porn and dramatic tension.

After having seeing many shows back to back, seeing one that has such a strong pilot and a strong season as Suits is something that is amazing. From direction to the story writing to the acting - everything has been nailed. There is was not a single moment where I found myself yawning because of how interesting this show is. The pilot has to be one of the greatest ever, particularly benching on the way the two protagonists of the show were introduced and how they eventually met. Unlike other shows in the industry, Suits already begins with a high stake story arc that becomes more and more crazy as the story progresses. The series finale is something quite memorable and definitely makes me wanting more of Harvey Specter and Mike Ross.

This show is alright at best. I know that the actual work that lawyers do relys on hours of prep work before they bring the information to the deposition. Putting your faith in one man who has a perfect memory doesn't bode well for the show character development. The show could of done a lot better. The character Harvey reads people and knows them better than they know themselves. They should put more faith in the research into the law then there talents.

For me, this is the best season. Gripping story, excellent actors and very pro shots. With elegant clothes and modern musicalization.
