Critic Reviews for Suits Season 1
All Critics (20) | Top Critics (13) | Fresh (15) | Rotten (5)
It's too bland to elicit very strong feelings either for or against.
There's no shortage of character fodder here, and the dialogue is snappy with a pop-culture flavor.
Once again, it looks as though we have a winner on a network that knows what it's all about.
These stylish suits aren't empty, by any means.
Inessential stuff, of course, but entertaining. Watching it, I could feel myself becoming a little bit of a Suits nerd. Just a very little bit...
Impressive out of the gate.
This first episode of Suits isn't bad, but it ain't great either.
Yes, Suits is a soap opera with hot actors and a decent locations budget. That's why it works.
Suits fits USA like a glove.
Suits needed just 90 minutes to become one of this reviewer's summer favorites.
What I liked about this show, despite the already amazing chemistry between the two leads, was the fact that neither of them were set up as infallible.
The fun comes in watching the uncynical Adams learn to undercut everyone else's cunning.

May 31, 2020For me, this is the best season. Gripping story, excellent actors and very pro shots. With elegant clothes and modern musicalization.
-
Apr 22, 2020season 1 was good brought lawyer and the relationship between everyone is amazing
-
Feb 05, 2020Strong first season! The chemistry between Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams is superb, S1 would've been so much weaker without those two; especially Macht.
-
Sep 29, 2019Suits is 9 seasons of getting 'Litt'-up! What a great show and cast of actors. While Louis may have been my favorite character to watch develop, a big thumbs up to the entire cast because everyone was amazingly good and a lot of fun to watch.
-
Sep 05, 2019First few seasons are great; jumped the shark and turned into more of a soap opera the past couple seasons.
-
Aug 24, 2019I started watching Suits 2 weeks ago and today I finished s4. When I look at s1 after watching 3 other seasons I feel like it was the least good season. It was just a season to Prepare the viewer to the upcoming seasons. every episode there was a case and somehow they fix everything and come on to the next episode. In s2 the series is really starting.
-
Feb 22, 2019Well written and engaging. I think good character development. not bad for a lawyer show.
-
Oct 20, 2018Season One launches a compelling story with lovable characters you always root and care for. The show does a good job at connecting the mentality of the biggest players in the 'Suits' universe to the city of New York, despite the show being filmed in Toronto.
-
Oct 11, 2018Somehow, this brilliant cast of characters manages to simultaneously turn this show into a laugh-out-loud comedy and top-notch drama. Be warned, though: these people are willing to get down and dirty in order to get what they want, and that is not something you want them to pass on to you.
