The series, while built on the foundation of MMA drama, struggles to deliver the thrill expected of its genre. The fight scenes feel uninspired, lacking the intensity of real-life matches, and the story follows a predictable path with a stereotypical aggressive villain, played rapper Bosh, and a calm hero. The romantic subplot fails to resonate, and the acting performances are average at best. Despite some involvement from real MMA figures like Georges St-Pierre, the choreography and cinematography leave much to be desired. If you're a fan of MMA and have the time, it might be worth checking out, but don't go in with high expectations. See more Tristan L @RT40354287 11/25/2024 Overall, one of the better MMA based series. The acting is nothing incredible, the characters are okay and the story is fairly predictable. This story gets pretty bogged down into the same, "oh i can't do it, but i must, but this happened or this person is mean or this person is hurt so i cant... But i must" and the fights feel the same, they start with a winners mentality, then the main character isn't as aggressive as the villain so he's on defense the whole fight, flashback to something bad, and then turns it all around. But the last fight was horrible, the amount of times the main character was so tired he was throwing out weird little punches or kicks made me go mental just to land some poor side kick and win. It took the steam away for the 2 episodes of drama and training for a sad random ko. Overall, if you like fighting tv shows you'll be entertained, but if you choose not to watch it you won't miss anything besides celebrity fighters that shouldn't be acting & some poorly planned choreography.
