It’s handsome -- the geology and meteorology are powerfully rendered, while the dinosaurs are only a notch below the very best photorealist simulations we have seen. If there’s an issue... it’s the pace and depth of the narrative. Go to Full Review

The Dinosaurs brings a lost world back to life, and the documentary series is every bit as epic as a story about dinosaurs needs to be. Go to Full Review

alan R @Siempre 5h The Dinosaurs on Netflix is a children's level show with mediocre CGI dinosaurs and a presentation based on made up stories anthropomorphizing the dinosaurs rather than giving real science. Much of the show is simply made up emotionalism. Let the kids watch . See more Tony T @tonyknowsbest 7h Fantastic masterpiece that is informative, has its bits of comedy, and the tragic end to the millions upon millions of years of evolution that made the dinosaurs not just surpass the reign of the reptiles, but the most dominant force on our planet. See more George R @RT92050242 22h Beautiful documentary that compresses 200 million years of knowledge about Dinosaurs during their time on Planet Earth into a 4 part series. CGI was unbelievably great. Narrated by Morgan Freeman. If you have any interest at all, this is a must see series. See more Vance W @RT94435305 1d A shallow and overly simplistic depiction of evolution which is too tangled up in a fantasy of domination and empire. Dinosaurs are either struggling to survive, on the rise, or have total control (of the ocean, the sky, or the world). The show had no real interest in showing evolution as a real time process, and falls trap to focussing on certain species without showing how or why they evolved, split off from other species, etc. The time jumps are comically large with nothing but the aforementioned "empire storyline" ties them together. This series could have benefitted from learning about niches and how they influence evolution—the have what happens when the niche changes suddenly down pat, but no real idea on how genetic variation and natural selection occurs to help a species within a niche. Also all ecosystems exist because their parts are interdependent—another thing sorely lacking in this shows portrayal of extinct ecosystems. See more Red I @RT64971855 1d Good story, good CGI and la creme de la creme.. Morgan Freeman.. what more can one ask for? See more Shannon S @FreshFlicks 1d Very cool and fun nature documentary series. Absolutely love Morgan Freeman’s voice. See more Read all reviews
