This show highlights the strain and importance of the medical profession, and that ER workers and doctors are truly heroes in modern society. I definitely recommend it for medical and drama fans! The narration is paper-thin, buried under endless medical jargon and graphic procedures that prioritize shock over substance. Worse, the show is riddled with inaccuracies and pushes a clear pro-pharma agenda, portraying COVID-era measures (masks, lockdowns, vaccines) as unquestionable truths while harshly condemning any skepticism. No character ever voices legitimate doubts about these policies, despite overwhelming evidence that masks didn’t meaningfully curb transmission, lockdowns caused immense harm with little benefit, and vaccines failed to stop spread or prevent many deaths (with flu often outpacing COVID mortality in raw numbers). Hyped as groundbreaking, it’s ultimately manipulative and insulting to anyone who values facts over pharma-approved storytelling. Skip it—especially if you’re informed and critical. There is decent character development but it’s happening over the course of day which just makes this all feel super disjointed and lame. Dr. Robby is impeccable but the heavy handed dialogue, the cliche characters and mediocre acting…I’m so confused why this is so critically acclaimed. With all that said I enjoy the show, but this is not a "good" show. It’s another medical soap opera.
