The Rig Season 2 never shakes that same feeling that the story has gone on too long. It's the same concept and the same very obvious messaging, just in a different location. Go to Full Review

The Rig and the crew of the Kinloch Bravo return to Prime Video for another six-episode season that is significantly bigger and bolder, and also – this is the surprising bit – slightly better. Go to Full Review

The quality of the CGI could be better, although most viewers will likely watch on a phone screen. But you do come for the characters, and the thrills, of which there are plenty. Go to Full Review

Naveen D @RT56815715 Oct 15 The Rig is a thrilling sci-fi drama that perfectly blends mystery, science, and suspense. Set on a remote oil rig in the North Sea, it follows a crew suddenly cut off from the world after a strange, unexplained fog descends. The tension, atmosphere, and curiosity build with every episode, keeping you thinking and guessing throughout. I personally loved the scientific angle and the eerie isolation vibe—it’s both thought-provoking and chilling. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys intelligent sci-fi with mystery and emotional depth. See more Tom F @RT55173143 May 15 They take a lot of elements I’m naturally attracted to and a terrific cast, but the results are painfully artificial and tedious. (ENGLISH) Survival stories set in extreme environments can be a great source of suspense, but La plataforma struggles to make the most of it. While the setting is convincing and the cast does a decent job, the series fails to fully engage. There are no unexpected twists or a gripping development, which makes the experience feel less intense than it should be. From the very first episode, the series introduces a mystery that seems promising, yet its execution falls short. There are moments where the tension works, but at other times, the plot slows down and loses momentum, weakening the sense of intrigue. As the episodes progress, the story becomes increasingly predictable and stops being surprising. One of the most redeeming aspects is the cast. The actors manage to make their characters believable, even though the script doesn’t always give them enough room to shine. They are the ones who keep the show afloat during its weaker moments, adding some emotion even when the story itself falls flat. Visually, there is a clear effort to create immersive settings: the locations effectively convey a sense of isolation and danger, and the production team works hard to build a compelling atmosphere. However, when the storytelling falters, even flawless visuals can’t make up for it; at times, the aesthetics end up drawing more attention than the story itself. La plataforma won’t go down in history, but it’s not a complete failure either. It has some strengths, such as a solid cast and a well-crafted setting, but it lacks the energy and personality needed to stand out in the genre. It’s entertaining at times, yet it leaves the impression that, with better development, it could have been much more compelling. See more Sam A @Padlock 02/28/2025 Quite different to the first season. However I found the storyline is enhanced giving a very interesting concept about the ancestor. I enjoyed the second season as much, of not more than the first See more Gbjobro T @RT91061102 02/25/2025 Great concept and some good actors let down by a two dimensional script apparently written by (possibly younger than) teenagers. 'You do you' has no place in what could have been a fantastic nail biter. Fire the script writers and let the cast improvise it. It could only be an improvement. See more ALAN B @MacRotten 02/17/2025 i SOOOO wanted to love this...the story line, similar to the Abyss from 1989, was GREAT....the setting in the Artic was GREAT...However that is where GREAT ends..! The cardbordesque rig interior looks cheap..The Stilted and lifeless Characters pull the whole atmostphere down. There are some ''established'' actors in it , this for sure is not their finest hour..especially Emily Hampshire and Alice Krige..they almost look AI generated..wooden and emotionless figures. Would love to see more of the story itself, however with this cast, two seasons more than enough. See more Read all reviews
