Unik F @Unik88 May 20 The Silent Sea wastes a strong sci-fi premise with weak, sloppy writing and overly forced drama. The biggest issue is how unrealistically the so-called "elite experts" behave throughout the series. Characters constantly ignore basic survival protocols and scientific logic simply to create tension. Several key moments involve trained scientists and crew members behaving in ways that completely contradict basic contamination procedures, survival instincts, and common sense, even after fully understanding the dangers involved. The show repeatedly relies on plot armor and artificial cliffhangers instead of believable problem-solving, which severely undermines immersion and tension. The writing often feels careless toward the very scientific realism the show tries to present, wasting what could have been a compelling hard sci-fi drama. The sheer disregard for logic feels almost insulting to the audience. Because of that, I honestly can’t give this series more than 1 star.
