Critics Consensus

While Chris Pratt fully commits himself to the The Terminal List's mission, this thriller's unrelenting gruffness is no meat and all potatoes.

In the days before the streaming revolution, "The Terminal List" would have been turned into a big screen summer action blockbuster and over and done within about two hours. Instead, audiences are being asked to stick with it for hours of bingeing. Go to Full Review

The Terminal List is a classic American fantasy about the goodness of the SEALs, the corruption of high-level government officials and corporate shills, and the purifying quality of righteous violence. Go to Full Review

It's a gripping action series sustained by its excellent action scenes, the performances of its cast, and its story of suspense, intrigue, and constant tension. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The Terminal List likely would have worked far better as a feature film or maybe a limited series of no more than four to six episodes. As it stands, this story is overlong and ploddingly told and somehow makes revenge feel bland and boring. Go to Full Review

B D @RT60095050 5 hrs ago Don’t the critics know if they base their reviews on or anything other than if the movie was good they’re not doing a good job? That they’re incompetent critics? Extreme liberals think their opinions are facts because they’re liberal. Affirmative action is a racist law. If they haven’t filled their minority quota the deny white people until they have. That’s racist against whites. Sheesh! See more Michael H @Fldiverman 1 day ago I was on the edge of my seat thru most of this series. Yes, the general plot line has been done before, but this one does have some very good original stuff. This manages to be a great mix of war, revenge, political intrigue, suspense and well executed action genres. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't filmed so fuc*ing dark. Turn your TV to it's brightest setting. See more Mrcio Marcelo G @RT39852820 1 day ago uma história muito boa!. See more HypeShare O @HasuVolente 2 days ago Well, well…whadya know? Critics gave the show a splat? They didn’t like this show? A fantastic show that remembers what entertainment is supposed to be: incredible storytelling, gripping action, and characters whose courage is earned rather than announced. The Terminal List gives us men and women who are bold, capable, flawed, EQUAL, and heroic because of what they DO, not because some showrunner needs them to deliver a political statement. The action is intense, the stakes feel real, and the writing actually trusts its audience to think. It makes you question motives, feel the weight of loss, and sit on the edge of your seat wondering what comes next. No lectures disguised as dialogue. No endless, one-sided virtue signaling. No sacrificing believable characters to check ideological boxes. Just a relentless, emotionally charged story that understands the difference between telling an audience what to believe and giving them something worth believing in. THIS is how you write a show.
