An all-star cast head to a resort and unleash their worst, most privileged impulses. The series is a sharp social satire following the exploits of various guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, whose stay becomes affected by their various dysfunctions. A week in the life of vacationers is unravelled as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. With each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel's cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself.

After thoroughly enjoying the first two seasons, I was very disappointed with this third installment. First off, the characters were just caricatures. There was not a single character who I felt had experienced any sort of growth during the 8 episodes. In fact, many of the "good guys" turned out to be not so good guys and the ending offers no real resolution to this. It's hard to cheer on characters who have no redeeming qualities about them. The acting was also not great. Parker Posey's fake accent comes and goes. Most of the characters are just so unlikable that it was a chore to sit through 8 episodes expecting to see some kind of character development or even comedic elements only to be disappointed with predictable storylines that failed to tie together many loose ends. Very disappointing season. I'm hoping that the 4th season will address some of these shortcomings.

It blends the strong character development of the first season with a surprising, carefully crafted, and richly detailed ending, making it the best of the three seasons. The performances of the three friends stand out in particular, likely representing the strongest acting across all three seasons of the series.

A lot of negative reviews for season 3 but I found it to be the same if not better than previous seasons. Excellent cast again, great writing, and the monologue with Sam Rockwell was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Absolute genius writing.

wildly inferior to the first two seasons. the extended ‘black space’ in the series is substantial, and one particular story was simply never-ending (wealthy family finding themselves without wealth).
