Thankfully, the series does not recreate the killing or show its aftermath, but does effectively reveal the morass of horrors inflicted on this family. Go to Full Review

K W @RT11538615 Jul 1 It was ok repetitive and some overacting, gaps in story and there’s no way a child would be treated like that by police and his age level kept changing at the same age also police would not be that poor in detecting surely... See more Albert M @RT42719333 Jun 26 Interesting story, maybe just spend 5 minutes reading about it and skip this. See more Emily H. @emihubbard Jun 26 Interesting, but kind of slow See more Sharang L @Scribe187 Jun 20 This should have been a poignant story but somehow the show is sterile. The non-linear narrative serves merely as a distraction and adds precious little to the viewing experience. The performances are all good though. See more Marie G. @creepsandcrawls Jun 16 It was ok at best. Just giving it a 2 because it based on a true story See more Robbi W @Fangarang Jun 15 I’m going to be alone here but I thought this was more of the budget production superficial tripe I’ve come to expect of Netflix since they spent all their $ on the Markles and the Obamas instead of writers, film producers etc. The actors did what they could with a boring, cliched script. The story skimmed the surface and gave us what you’d expect, without nuance ie the angry teen, the controlling but loving dad, the inept police. I found the whole thing to be thin and shallow.
