Critic Reviews for Titans Season 2

All Critics (21) | Top Critics (1)

Season two is a startling drop in quality from its incredible premiere outing. Gone are the compelling and thrilling storylines that made it a binge-worthy show, inexplicably replaced with dull narratives, bland characters, and lots of needless backstory.

Despite leaning a little too hard on 'gritty' at times, Titans remains a solid show with much to recommend it. It is solidly-acted, beautifully-shot, and even the bits that miss - Iain Glen's Bruce Wayne - are not far off the mark.

This hard-hitting drama provided much of the talented cast with some juicy material, while also allowing the show to continue to go from strength-to-strength.

This series might not appeal to longterm fans of the Superman mythos, especially those who really believe in the innocence of Krypto. But for those who don't mind their Krypto getting a little blood in his mouth, Titans will be a surprising change.

Superheroes, mysteries and brawls, Titans has it all.

A rough episode of Titans to watch...but it does provide some powerful character arcs.

Nov 4, 2019 | Full Review…

It's ridiculous how much better this season of Titans has been over the first year. Each episode feels like it's setting the new high mark for the series.

Oct 4, 2019 | Rating: 9.5/10 | Full Review…

Season two builds upon the foundation of Titans' impressive inaugural effort, a show that uses DC's rich lore to offer a fresh take on the beloved franchise.

Titans is not going to blow anyone away but it will still appeal to established fans and has some nice moments for fans of DC Comics history.

Sep 25, 2019 | Rating: 7/10 | Full Review…

"Trigon" ends on a hopeful note because it ends with the Titans of Titans finally feeling like they are...the Titans.

Sep 25, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

The show's simply carrying too much baggage at the start and is reaching for a conclusion too long after the ostensible end of season 1 to deliver much in the way of a fulfilling resolution or a promising new beginning.

Sep 25, 2019 | Full Review…

With a bit of time, Titans might end up getting steady on its feet again and returning to being one of the better live-action cape shows, but for the time being, it's definitely showed itself to be a bit more than rusty.

Audience Reviews for Titans: Season 2

  • Jan 29, 2021
All over the place. More Beast Boy, less Wonder Girl please.
  • Jan 10, 2021
This season was a major step backwards from the first go around. The biggest flaw is the writing. There is no clear direction and on the journey to nowhere the road is paved with plot holes. Another note is that it's almost like they go out of their way to make every character a hypocrite that you end up rooting against. The pacing is near unbearable for a thirteen episode trek that became agonizing to finish around episode nine. Hopefully when season three wraps up filming they fix the poor decisions made with this season's production.

Finished season 2 of Titans and it was so much better than season 1, near perfect. The acting from Curran Walters, Ryan Potter, Teagan Croft, Joshua Orpin, Alan Ritchson, Brenton Thwaites, Esai Morales, Conor Leslie, Anna Diop, Chelsea Zhang, Minka Kelly, Chella Man, Natalie Gumede, Iain Glen, and Michael Mosley was phenomenal. The chemistry was exceptional between the cast just like last season. The writing was fantastic a lot better than first season especially the story, more focused and put together this season. The character development was outstanding especially with Jason, Dick, Rachel, Gar, Donna, Connor, Hank, Rose, Jericho, and Kory. The costumes were stupendous especially ones wore by Brenton Thwaites, Esai Morales, Ryan Potter, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Conor Leslie, Chelsea Zhang, Chella Man, Minka Kelly, and Alan Ritchson. The makeup and hairstyling was excellent especially on Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Minka Kelly, Esai Morales, Natalie Gumede, Chelsea Zhang, Alan Ritchson, Conor Leslie, and Chella Man and the wigs were a lot better this season like Teagan and Minka's that weren't the best the first season. The visual effects were superb especially Rachel's powers, Rose's bones going back into place, Kory's powers, Gar as a tiger, Connor's Powers, and Krypto's powers, Gar as a tiger and Rachel's powers were a lot better looking this season a lot more realistic. The fight choreography was amazing so much better than season 1, a lot more realistic. The music is terrific. Also still love the main title design, it is so cool just love the look and music. The was such a near perfect season, definite A+ 2nd season.

Not that good. 1) Beast boy is my favourite among the Titans, but he can only turn as a tiger and as snake for one time. 2) Wonder girl's death caused by an electric shock. Seriously, she's the daughter of wonderwoman and grand daughter of Zeus. 3) This is a kids favourite show and they showed nudity. 4) I'm sorry to say this. But a dark skin girl doesn't suit Starfire. 5) Most important of all. No humour 😔

Season two, though, started getting tedious for me. I got a bit tired of everyone whining about how bad everything is for them. But, the most torturous part of season two was listening to Iain Glen's TERRIBLE American accent as Bruce Wayne. Lordy, it was bad. But I will watch season three.

TITANS season 2 kept me entertained throughout. The character dynamic is preetty strong in this one.
  • Nov 22, 2020
Season 2 of the Titans series was really good. Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Minka Kelly, Alan Ritchson, Conor Leslie, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters, Esai Morales, Chelsea Zhang, and the rest of the cast did an awesome job for the second season of the series. The plot to the series this season was dark, dramatic, and intense. This season was about discovering who they really are and what it took to realize that no matter how difficult the circumstances were for them. This is a series that anyone would enjoy. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

Titans: Season 2 Season 2 put the whole arc in comfort zone, although it is far from being less than decent, overall the second season of Titans just can't outshine the originality of its first season.
  • Oct 22, 2020
I think this is a great show with great characters. Not enough people known about it. Netflix is good at connecting content to the people who will like it

Una segunda temporada con demasiado drama humano que grita por popularidad. No sucedio nada interesante o al menos entretenido
