Critic Reviews for Titans Season 2

All Critics (20) | Top Critics (1)

I'm interested to see where this season leads from here.

Despite leaning a little too hard on 'gritty' at times, Titans remains a solid show with much to recommend it. It is solidly-acted, beautifully-shot, and even the bits that miss - Iain Glen's Bruce Wayne - are not far off the mark.

This series might not appeal to longterm fans of the Superman mythos, especially those who really believe in the innocence of Krypto. But for those who don't mind their Krypto getting a little blood in his mouth, Titans will be a surprising change.

Superheroes, mysteries and brawls, Titans has it all.

Nov 20, 2019 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

A rough episode of Titans to watch...but it does provide some powerful character arcs.

Nov 4, 2019 | Full Review…

It's ridiculous how much better this season of Titans has been over the first year. Each episode feels like it's setting the new high mark for the series.

Oct 4, 2019 | Rating: 9.5/10 | Full Review…

This hard-hitting drama provided much of the talented cast with some juicy material, while also allowing the show to continue to go from strength-to-strength.

Titans is not going to blow anyone away but it will still appeal to established fans and has some nice moments for fans of DC Comics history.

Sep 25, 2019 | Rating: 7/10 | Full Review…

"Trigon" ends on a hopeful note because it ends with the Titans of Titans finally feeling like they are...the Titans.

Sep 25, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

The show's simply carrying too much baggage at the start and is reaching for a conclusion too long after the ostensible end of season 1 to deliver much in the way of a fulfilling resolution or a promising new beginning.

Sep 25, 2019 | Full Review…

With a bit of time, Titans might end up getting steady on its feet again and returning to being one of the better live-action cape shows, but for the time being, it's definitely showed itself to be a bit more than rusty.

Sep 25, 2019 | Full Review…

Season two builds upon the foundation of Titans' impressive inaugural effort, a show that uses DC's rich lore to offer a fresh take on the beloved franchise.

Audience Reviews for Titans: Season 2

Strong first season is followed up by a confused, muddled and incoherent second season - suffers the fate of so many superhero films & shows - just too much of everything - too many heroes, too much lycra, too many sub-plots, too many characters, too little substance, too few fully formed or fleshed out story arcs, too little genuine characterisation - a real shame as I'd enjoyed the darkness of season one - don't think i'll be returning for a third.

Muy aburrida, escenas innecesarias la trama se extiende demaciado.

    Can't wait for next season

Overall the concept seems great, the trailers look awesome, but out is just not enjoyable to watch. I liked the first season but really struggled in the second one. The script seems to be focused on having "cool" or "quotable" lines to the extent, when it simply is distracting due to its unbelievability. There are several moments which are meant to be sad, but made me laugh out loud because of how ridiculous they were. Apart from that, you will hate almost all of the characters, as almost all of them act like assholes. But not like "asshole" ashole, but scripted asshole. There is one person called rosa, which is the most one dimensional character and perfect example of wasted potential. And there is overall a lot of problems with this season all around. If you're interested, just watch the first season and the first episode of the second season to conclude the first one. Then just stop.

trash acting, to much time to wait and kinda boring actually
  • Feb 05, 2020
First season was riveting! Second season, a bit of a bore. Over dramatic episodes and sections that transitioned poorly into new scenes really made this season uneventful. The final episode was not enjoyable at all and really felt like a b-grade show.

Waste of time although fans of the other DC tv shows probably enjoy it. It has the same horrible acting by about half the acting crew, mostly unlikeable heroes, vague storylines that are ended before they begin. Fight scenes are sluggish, CGI is lowbudget.

Although there were some episodes that I liked (2x06, 2x08), Titans S2 is not as solid as the first one and I can confirm that this show has a serious trouble with endings, if last's season ending was bad, this year's ending was the absolut worst and ridicoulous. I hope to see big changes on S3
