Kevin Hart is alright as a serious role in this show and Wesley Snipes is fantastic. The story, the visuals are amazing. We need a season 2, I don’t care we need a season 2. This show has 3 problems, the pacing is pretty bad and the ending was mediocre and I don’t like the humor in this show, cause this is a thriller series. But, overall, I give True Story a 6.9/10 or a 3/5 stars. See more Al W Dec 3 As I'm reading other reviews to try to understand why this wasn't rated higher, I realize that a lot of people missed the point of how episode 1 went down. I guess if you don't get that, then the rest won't seem as good. But, if you do get it, this is a terrific watch. So, pay attention. Watch ep 1 twice if need be. Then, just enjoy. See more BlimBlam S Aug 11 Critics are brain dead. This show is brilliant. The writing, directing, and acting is some of the best I’ve seen in forever. Wesley Snipes is top a tier actor. Up there with the greats. Marlon Brando, Sam Jackson, Morgan Freeman, and so many more. And Kevin hart is damn impressive for a guy who started out in standup. This story telling is brilliant and the execution is too. Maybe there are some small loose ends in the storytelling and some parts are predictable, but the twists and turns in the story are so damn good, and so well executed, and I had so much fun watching it that I couldn’t help but NOT sweat the details.
