From gaudy designs to botched renovations, comedian Retta travels across the country to tour properties nominated by their owners as the ugliest home around. The country gets divided into four regions, with four homes from each region selected as finalists based on the following criteria: ugly in appearance, bad function and "surprise." However, the competition doesn't stop there: after crowning the worst of the worst, designer Alison Victoria surprises the homeowners with an incredible $150,000 renovation.

T T @BabyBreezy 09/10/2023 It gets 2.5 stars for Retta, I love her and she is the best part of the show (otherwise it would have been a zero stars). It would actually be a great show, if they truly picked the ugliest house. Season 4, Episode 5, the cabin house/house in the middle of the woods was literally the ugliest house in America but would have been a challenge for Alison Victoria. The house they chose was maybe a $75,000 renovation job at the most and was all cosmetic and could have easily been done by homeowners. Retta needs a new partner that loves a challenge and truly want to improve the ugliest house in American. See more Read all reviews
