For all the surety in its title and main character’s motivation, is a series of haunting, thought-provoking questions, which is a lot more than most of its peers can boast. Go to Full Review

The series is greatly enhanced by Chamami’s excellent performance... Orna is the perfect fit for the leading role, and she holds our interest and sympathy from the beginning. Go to Full Review

A gripping but familiar thriller, Unconditional thrives on its emotional core, even when its twists feel unbelievable and far-fetched. Go to Full Review
Joel Keller Decider May 14
Unconditional tries to be more than it is, which is a pretty conventional thriller. But the “message-y” parts of the show don’t get in the way all that much, and the story builds tension very well. Go to Full Review

4/5
It's a complicated story world, and one in which certain details and plot lines aren't always fully fleshed out. But these flaws don't prevent Unconditional from being an enjoyable and gripping watch. Go to Full Review

The series takes its own time getting there, and that languid pace may not work for viewers expecting a conventional edge-of-the-seat thriller. But for those willing to stay patient, it offers an engaging watch that slowly peels back its layers... Go to Full Review

Robert R. @Rob929 Jun 8 Was hoping for something more from this show. Tehran is a fantastic show on Apple TV with excellent production and acting. Maybe at the end of this series will find out why a daughter who’s in the middle of a big arms smuggling deal invites her mother on vacation!!! completely unrealistic and stupid. See more S T @RT43334155 Jun 4 Dull, boring, documentary and not a thriller. See more Vilmar G @ghivi01 May 24 Four episodes into Unconditional and I’m really enjoying it. What I like most is that it feels grounded. The story is tense and keeps pulling you in, but the emotional side feels just as strong. The relationship between the mother and daughter feels believable, and that makes everything happening around them hit harder. Each episode has revealed just enough to keep me curious without feeling manipulative, and I’ve found myself thinking about it after the credits. The performances are strong, and the mix of family drama with the political thriller side is working really well so far. Still four episodes to go, so anything can happen—but at this point I’m definitely invested and looking forward to seeing where it goes. See more james F. @thetvgame May 20 We’ll constructed story about a mother and daughter’s relationship and the realization by her mother that their relationship and history has become entangled in a web of dark truths and lies when the daughter is arrested in Russia for drugs while traveling with her mother. The mother has to cope with certain dark truths about her daughter and their worlds are turned upside down Superb acting See more Jenn L @Jenn-moon May 11 I stumbled on this show as a "whatever" watch and found myself joining Orna on her journey. After just two episodes, I relate to her so much that I find myself thinking about her throughout the day. She is such a strong, yet relatably human character, and the actress is amazing. I love her relationship with her daughter. I love how the cuter they are together in the flashbacks, the more acutely you feel her horror of truly knowing her daughter in the present. I can't wait for the next episodes! It is a foreign language show, but it is so worth it. See more Read all reviews
