Suburban housewife and mom Tara Gregson sometimes just doesn't seem like herself, and with good reason: She's living with dissociative identity disorder, a condition that causes her to shift between multiple identities without warning. Her loving husband, Max, copes with the situation as best he can, but neither he nor their teenage kids, Kate and Marshall, can be sure who will greet them when they come home: Tara herself, or "T," a flirty teenager; Buck, a beer-swilling Vietnam vet with a violent streak; Alice, a perfect TV mom right out of the 1950s; or other alter egos in this dark comedy created and written by Academy Award winner Diablo Cody ("Juno").

The show may be more funny-peculiar than ha-ha, but it is also a real pleasure to watch, owing to the fact that Tara is surrounded by a great ensemble. Go to Full Review

The Season 3 finale did such a great job of wrapping up the series, we can't imagine where it could have gone next in Season 4. Go to Full Review

The show -- an equal mix of odd comedy and dark psychological drama -- is anything but normal in its template. But also at its base, it's a warm, loving show about a family. Go to Full Review

The show succeeds in de-stigmatizing a very misunderstood condition and provides some thoughtful, heartwarming -- albeit mature -- entertainment. Go to Full Review

For Toni Collette, the transition between personalities is a feat to behold... The supporting cast more than matches her talent. Go to Full Review

Many questions from just one episode, and two seasons' worth of solid storytelling to make me believe we'll get satisfactory answers. Go to Full Review

Sam W @RT12778871 04/12/2022 This was the first show I ever binged on Netflix. It holds a special place in my heart but I'm glad it ended when it did. Some shows overstay their welcome. See more 11/14/2021 Great season! Sorry, it got canceled. I would definitely have watched the fourth season. See more 01/04/2015 Gonna miss so much this show :( See more 02/07/2014 It's a shame this show got cancelled when it did, I really like the direction it went in Season 3 and it could have easily moved forward. Season 2 was a slight disappointment, but Season 3 really moved every character forward. Toni Collette (and everyone involved) shined. I miss this show. See more Read all reviews
