Critic Reviews for United We Fall Season 1

If you took Sandy and Chuy away, leaving Jo, Bill, Emily and Lulu, there probably wouldn't be enough for a show here - but at least you might have a better starting point.

This is fairly thin stuff, but it's buoyed by the charms of the cast. United We Fall lacks, perhaps, enough of a hook to instantly compel viewers, but its low-key pleasantness makes it better than replacement-level.

Unoriginal but enjoyable sitcom has positive messages.

Despite the fine cast and writing staff, it just can't overcome a premise we've seen so many times that we can predict the jokes before they happen.

This paint-by-numbers series has everything you expect in a lousy '90s comedy but don't want.

Audience Reviews for United We Fall: Season 1

  • Aug 30, 2020
Any positive reviews of this show are clearly written by the cast themselves and their friends and family. Any objective viewer would never give this show 5 stars. It has no plot, the writing is awful and the characters are poorly conceived and even more poorly acted. It's shocking this show even got 8 episodes on the air and I have to believe it is only because of the pandemic and the network not being able to film anything else. It's certain to be canceled and definitely not worth watching.

So funny! Great for the whole family.

We all need a GOOD laugh right now and "United We Fall" delivers! Thank you to ABC for a new show with such a diverse cast! Ella Grace Helton's (EMILY RYAN) comedic timing is beyond her years! Sedona and Ireland Carvajal (Lulu Ryan) are absolutely adorable and really bring the cute factor!! Sending out GOOD VIBES for a Season 2!!!

Truly one of the worst shows I've ever had the displeasure of watching.
  • Aug 18, 2020
People who complain about the laugh track don't understand the difference between multi-camera and single camera sitcoms. Multi-camera ones would be really strange if they didn't have one. The laugh track isn't the problem. The show just sucks.

Absolute crap. Don't waste your time.
  • Aug 17, 2020
I went in with low expectations and I was still disappointed beyond belief. What an absolute mess. I would have no problem with the fact that the premise is totally unoriginal IF the writing was strong. But whoever was in charge of it clearly didn't know what they're doing. They probably hired their own friends and just assumed they would have talent. Nope.

I love this show!!!! Will Sasso is amazing and so is Jane Curtain. The kids are so cute and funny!!! I can't wait for 10 season of this show!
  • Aug 08, 2020
1/2 a star is too generous. I wanted to like this because I usually like Will Sasso, but I had to shut it off because it was so bad. Even he can't save this disaster. Boring, pointless plot and one dimensional characters. It is very poorly written and acted and has a very low budget feel all around. Additionally, while being promoted as a "Family" sitcom, it is highly inappropriate for children.

The lack of chemistry between the actors makes this so uncomfortable to watch, the acting feels very forced, especially from the oldest child, brother and grandmother. I could hardly stand watching scenes with them in it. Throw in the frequent and obnoxious laugh track and it's a migraine in the making trying to finish an episode. I predict cancelation soon.
