Jo and Bill Ryan are the parents of two young children, just trying to make it day to day as a functioning family. Bill's very judgmental live-in mother and Jo's large Latinx Catholic family never hesitate to let the couple know they're seemingly screwing everything up, but Bill and Jo always have each other's backs, united against everyone -- other parents, teachers, doctors, specialists, coaches, co-workers and, especially, their kids.

If you took Sandy and Chuy away, leaving Jo, Bill, Emily and Lulu, there probably wouldn't be enough for a show here - but at least you might have a better starting point. Go to Full Review
Daniel D'Addario Variety 07/14/2020
This is fairly thin stuff, but it's buoyed by the charms of the cast. United We Fall lacks, perhaps, enough of a hook to instantly compel viewers, but its low-key pleasantness makes it better than replacement-level. Go to Full Review

Unoriginal but enjoyable sitcom has positive messages. Go to Full Review

Despite the fine cast and writing staff, it just can't overcome a premise we've seen so many times that we can predict the jokes before they happen. Go to Full Review

This paint-by-numbers series has everything you expect in a lousy '90s comedy but don't want. Go to Full Review

Landon A 03/17/2024 Unfunny. The main characters are plain boring. Chuy and Sandy are the most unlikable characters to taint the screen. Just fucking horrid characters that are just rude and make the show even more unwatchable every time they appear onscreen. See more 08/30/2020 Any positive reviews of this show are clearly written by the cast themselves and their friends and family. Any objective viewer would never give this show 5 stars. It has no plot, the writing is awful and the characters are poorly conceived and even more poorly acted. It's shocking this show even got 8 episodes on the air and I have to believe it is only because of the pandemic and the network not being able to film anything else. It's certain to be canceled and definitely not worth watching. See more 08/28/2020 So funny! Great for the whole family. See more 08/28/2020 We all need a GOOD laugh right now and "United We Fall" delivers! Thank you to ABC for a new show with such a diverse cast! Ella Grace Helton's (EMILY RYAN) comedic timing is beyond her years! Sedona and Ireland Carvajal (Lulu Ryan) are absolutely adorable and really bring the cute factor!! Sending out GOOD VIBES for a Season 2!!! See more 08/27/2020 Truly one of the worst shows I've ever had the displeasure of watching. See more 08/18/2020 People who complain about the laugh track don't understand the difference between multi-camera and single camera sitcoms. Multi-camera ones would be really strange if they didn't have one. The laugh track isn't the problem. The show just sucks. See more Read all reviews
