Can't watch this anymore. Wow -but mindless entertainment for some I suppose. I can't watch this any more

So thankful we got this season! Love everything about this show.

This show is my absolute favorite. It brought me and mother a show we can actually watch and talk about. We never had much in common, her being Hallmark me being lifetime and Science Fiction, but this show casted Alex Doig (Andromeda the Avatar and Ship) and Michael Shanks (Stargate - guest appearance) a real life couple on and off the show, and everything my mom loves about Hallmark.

Season three was very good, alot of new subplots. The best part of season three was not having the character " Hope " in the whole year. Can this continue forever? There are enough of this type of people in everyday living, who needs to see it in a tv show.

I really got addicted to this show in Seasons 1 and 2. The chemistry between Mel and Jack feels real. Mel does a great job as a caring nurse. I also liked a lot of the side plots...Hope and Doc, Lizzy and her boyfriend, Preacher and Michele. However I was disappointed that they didn't put Hope in the last season (except for some lame reason of "helping her aunt". And you killed off Lily too fast. She didn't look sick, we didn't see any medical care, and then she just drops off. The funeral speeches were beautiful though. And I love how you developed Lizzy into a good character...the way she helped doc at the hospital was very endearing (and a cute play on age and technology). I don't like how do many ends were untied at the end...whose baby is Mels? And why is Charmaine carrying twins for 5 months and never showing? Anyway, I'm so in love with the characters and scenery, I'm looking forward to season 4 (and staring more at Jack (sigh!!!!

I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2, but season 3 is really different. It's become a big soap opera. If this was a movie, I'd call it a chick-flick.

I love Virgin River. The actors, the plots, and oh! the scenery! But I have to say that the recent development of Mel being pregnant is just plain ridiculous. The character of Mel has always been level headed and smart, but the pregnancy is a disappointment. And she says she doesn't know who the father is? Come on!

Worst of the first three seasons.

Snooze. fest. You know those lazy, slow bits of the previous seasons that were endearing and made those riveting/suspenseful parts well worth the wait and drag? Well, the entirety of Season 3 is slow bits with barely an iota of riveting suspense. We're just left to hang around and watch the Virgin River community get on with their mundane lives. Super captivating tv, right? The storyline is poorly contrived and worth skipping over the whole season, in my opinion.

Series such as these (see also Chesapeake Bay etc) offend me as a woman. They present throwback gender norms and stereotypes, silly, surface deep characters and ridiculous plot twists. Hope's drawn out and thinly narrativised absence from the series is a case in point, never mind the twists and turns of Mel's and Jack's relationship. Ugh. The one star I offered up goes to British Columbia. The visuals are stunning - the vistas are well worth the dialogues and plot that they punctuate. Note to producers for the next season (the number of cliff hangers tagged on at the end demonstrate a desperate effort to milk this franchise for another season at least) - More BC, less BS.
