This 1968 Hanna-Barbera cartoon series remains a favorite of viewers due to its large ensemble of assorted competitors and the uniquely designed vehicles that matched their personalities. Each episode would find these 11 colorful race cars (some driven solo, others manned in teams) zipping through two different locales in the United States, with a narrator providing play-by-play of the high-speed high jinks and ensuing results. Incorrigible cheaters Dick Dastardly and his snickering canine partner, Muttley, proved popular enough to be spun off into their own series the following year, as did the only female member of the cast, the always-primping Penelope Pitstop.

The C @HearthMovies 01/06/2025 This is my favorite cartoon ever and it has stood the test of time. It's funny, charming, and the animation still looks solid. It has this charm that modern cartoons have mostly failed to capture. The voice acting is wonderful and its cast of characters were always entertaining. See more Kyle E @Horrorbouy 09/30/2022 This is one of my favourite Hanna-Barbera shows, it is just really entertaining and funny. The concept was great, and while there are a lot of things repeated story wise the visual gags and dialogue were constantly a delight. Whether it was Dick Dastardly's asides or Muttley's priceless mumbles and facial expressions, there was always a lot to chuckle about. Coupled with the writing and visual gags are the crisp animation and delightful music. I also loved the characters, Dastardly and Muttley aren't just characters in the show, in most ways they are the show, they constantly make me laugh, and I have always loved Penelope Pitstop as she is really beautiful and sexy. Overall, a really entertaining childhood favourite. 10/10 Bethany Cox See more Read all reviews
