The execution does not rise to meet the ambition of its story—it asks for a surprising amount of nuance in how it paints angry Americans going up against the government ... and yet it doesn’t express their stories with nearly the same amount of tact. Go to Full Review
Brian Lowry CNN.com 04/14/2023
In seeking to overcome the “Why?” question surrounding these kind of anniversaries, directors/producers Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle make a compelling argument that the legacy of Waco is still very much alive and integrated into US politics. Go to Full Review

Difficult to recommend despite its excellent cast and unfortunate relevance. Beyond being slightly uneven, it’s slightly immoral. Go to Full Review

Unfortunately it not only avoids the most dramatic part of the story, the Waco massacre, altogether, but it also withholds information to make the Branch Davidians more sympathetic than they might have been in real life. Go to Full Review

Still, there is just not enough material presented here to warrant this presentation of the horrific events. Waco: The Aftermath is well-made and acted but does not work as a standalone series. Go to Full Review

Waco: The Aftermath has a great cast, but it’s also massive, because of all the stories the show needs to cover. And none of them will get the attention they deserve in such a short limited series. Go to Full Review

Andrew C @RT50357995 02/26/2025 Obviously not working with a huge budget here but it did two things, gives you an idea of how Koresh may have become so powerful and second, it was entertaining. Same as the first. Good tv. See more Pj B @Gatsby007 05/12/2024 Really very interesting how the trial went and how the Patriot movement was in effect due to government overreach and not being accountable. See more Garret C @garretchristensen 02/08/2024 Don't know why the reviewers seemed to hate this. Decent acting by an ensemble cast, and interesting details from before and after the raid. See more B C @That_Brett 05/18/2023 I fact checked this and wow so much is wrong. See more Eric S @RT63910717 05/17/2023 Amazing show, I looked forward to every episode, wished they went into a little more details with some things but overall great show See more Jeremy S @RT71933745 05/15/2023 The critics are out of their minds on this. This show speaks with a double edged sword. It pulls no punches when talking about the corruption of government or the insanity of Koresh and his followers. It's well acted and directed and provides a good history into the roots of the extremism we say today. There are no heroes. See more Read all reviews
