Six months after the death of his friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson's old life isn't done with him, though -- Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. "Watson" is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history's greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.

As a House-style medical case-of-the-week show, Watson works well. Most of its charms are embodied by Chestnut as the titular doctor-detective. Go to Full Review

Watson feels like a show that just isn’t confident enough in its version of Dr. Watson and his team to let them stand on their own. Go to Full Review

Marty v @mvdbosch Dec 23 The show is a mix of two shows. One is that of a medical mystery show, which is great. The other is of an ongoing storyline of throwing in nonsense like Moriarty, the Sherlock then the brother etc. All this garbage totally derails the show and makes it borderline unbearable. If they just stuck with medical mystery, and perhaps some character side stories for a little flavour, that would be grand. Drop the rest, as I am losing appetite fast. See more Kimberly J. @MrsJones Nov 30 Love this show and the mystery that comes with it! See more Veronica S @vsheehan Nov 11 so many Sherlock shows its hard to find a unique retelling. Then came "Watson" . Love love love Ingrid, Love this vision of Watson. So happy they gave the show a second season, as I just finished the latest episode wher I feared for Ingrid , intrigued for the sober Cross brother / Ingrid friendship, evaluating the definition of maintaining homestatsis with a behavioral issue, experiencing life anyway you can, exploring what counts as a good life worth living, Droolled over Watson while living the reinterpretationof the Watson-Mary- Sherlock storyline and ended the episode crying over a bridge, Thank you for a great start to what may be a crap day! Dam this was a great episode. To Paramont Thanks for giving a show with a POC main lead a chance when Peacock dumped all their POC main lead shows. See more Maria m @RT84616982 Nov 1 I was skeptical of yet another Sherlock Holmes inspired TV show but this is very entertaining.... The premise is a bit far-fetched but then the writing is good, the stories entertainment and the entirely original characters are compelling. Season 1 is very satisfying especially the last 2-3 episodes. No idea if the science is sound but in my case ignorance is bliss. See more Edward L @Glyndower Oct 22 Despite the presence of the brilliant Robert Carlyle I stopped watching once the Eve Harlow character was reintroduced. Why is this dreadful 'actor' cast in anything? See more Read all reviews
