As Dwayne Johnson runs for president in 2032, he takes a comedic look back at his extraordinary life through the outrageous stories of his family and youth that shaped him into the man he is today; he explores his childhood years living amid influential wrestling icons while his dad rose to fame in the business, his rebellious teenage years attending high school in Pennsylvania, and his football years teamed up with powerhouse players at the University of Miami; Johnson explains that while his experiences have been larger than life, he remains a down-to-earth guy who still relates to the American people.

As a TV series, Young Rock is enjoyable enough. But as a campaign launch it is close to genius. All that's missing is the disclaimer. Go to Full Review

Young Rock is off to a solid start, and as a look into how The Rock became the baller he is today, it's must-see TV. Go to Full Review

While Young Rock is no GLOW, it is a hell of a lot better than Learning the Ropes (a best forgotten Canadian comedy from the ’80s starring ex-NFL star Lyle Alzado as a wrestler). Go to Full Review

Peter K @Vacadoug 05/02/2022 This has to be the most well-casted half-hour show on TV! This ensemble of characters are totally amazing . . . .kudos to all! See more 04/13/2022 I don't usually watch comedies, but I started watching one day, and found it endearing and very witty. A well written half hour of fun. See more chad b @RT46707988 03/30/2022 Whether the storylines are real or not doesn't matter, they are entertaining. Rock in 2032! See more 03/23/2022 Hmmm, how much of this is scripted...how much of it is true...perhaps as long as it's entertaining, who cares. Would be an original concept but watching this reminds me of watching the Wonder Years. The first one was about a wh*te family, second is a bl*ck family so why not go half way this time and have a half bl*ck(Dwayne Johnson is half bl*ck) family to make this a trilogy tv series. (the filter on here is nuts) Some of it is funny, was it worth watching, sure it brings back the 90's nostalgia of the Wonder Years again. See more 11/19/2021 Funny, fast paced and very entertaining! I watched all episodes in just a few days it was that good and definitely will watch series 2. See more 11/03/2021 Dwayne Johnson is creating his own Oprah-esque empire. This autobiographical show is genius, funny & uniquely done. What a great homage to his childhood & parents. As a reflection piece, when one looks back at the father/son dynamic what you really see as an adult is his father was doing the best he could. See more Read all reviews
