Albert Tavares
Experienced stage and casting director best known in film for handling the casting for Disney's acclaimed animated features "The Little Mermaid" (1989) and "Beauty and the Beast" (1991). Tavares's stage credits include casting and directorial work on the Broadway, off-Broadway, regional and international productions of such plays as "Smile," "Little Shop of Horrors," "A Little Night Music," "On the Town" and "I Think I'm in Here Somewhere." At the time of his death, Tavares had just completed casting Disney's animated follow-up to "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin" (1992).
