Bill Catching was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. He had an early role on the television special "The Loner" (CBS, 1958-59). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Ordeal" (ABC, 1973-74) and "The Hanged Man" (ABC, 1973). He also landed roles in movies like "North By Northwest" (1959) and "Heaven With a Gun" (1969). He also starred in the TV movies "Fer-De-Lance" (1974-75), "Sky Hei$t" (NBC, 1974-75) and "Mayday at 40,000 Feet!" (CBS, 1976-77). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Young Pioneers" (ABC, 1977-78). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Avalanche" (1978) with Rock Hudson. Catching continued to exercise his talent in the seventies and the eighties, taking on a mix of projects like "Mean Dog Blues" (1978), "The Runner Stumbles" with Dick Van Dyke (1979) and "Motel Hell" with Rory Calhoun (1980). His credits also expanded to "High Risk" with James Brolin (1981), "Sadat" (1983-84) and "Salvador" (1986). Catching more recently worked on the Richard Dreyfuss comedy "Moon Over Parador" (1988).
