Gail Bonney was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. Bonney started her acting career landing roles in such films as the Bette Davis drama "Beyond the Forest" (1949), the Eleanor Parker drama "Caged" (1950) and the dramatic adaptation "People Will Talk" (1951) with Cary Grant. She also appeared in the comedy "Dream Wife" (1953) with Cary Grant, "Deep in My Heart" (1954) with Jose Ferrer and the dramatic adaptation "Magnificent Obsession" (1954) with Jane Wyman. She kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in "Written on the Wind" (1957) with Rock Hudson, the Dorothy Malone biographical drama "Too Much, Too Soon" (1958) and "The Perfect Furlough" (1958) with Tony Curtis. She also appeared in the James Stewart comedy adaptation "Bell, Book and Candle" (1958). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69). She also was featured in the TV movies "The Priest Killer" (NBC, 1971-72) and "The Devil's Daughter" (ABC, 1972-73). Bonney last appeared in "Kingston: The Power Play" (NBC, 1976-77). Bonney passed away in December 1984 at the age of 83.
