Jack Carr was an actor with a strong presence in film throughout his Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Carr appeared in such films as "Way Down South" (1939), "East of the River" (1940) and "Flight For Freedom" (1943) with Rosalind Russell. He also appeared in the Millard Mitchell comedy "My Six Convicts" (1952), "East of Eden" (1955) and the Brian Keith crime picture "Chicago Confidential" (1957). He continued to act in productions like the Mickey Rooney drama "Platinum High School" (1960), "Return to Peyton Place" (1961) with Carol Lynley and the musical "State Fair" (1962) with Pat Boone. He also appeared in the crime feature "10 Rillington Place" (1970) with Richard Attenborough and the drama "The Innocent" (1984) with Tom Bell. He also appeared in the TV special "Seal Morning" (PBS, 1985-86). Carr was most recently credited in "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates IV" (PBS, 2000-01). Carr passed away in February 1967 at the age of 61.
