Actor James McIntire was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. McIntire began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Death Hunt" (1981) with Charles Bronson and the Robert Forster action picture "Walking the Edge" (1985). He had a part on the television special "Big Bend Country" (CBS, 1980-81). He also appeared in the TV movie "In Self Defense" (ABC, 1986-87). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in the Robin Williams blockbuster dramatic comedy "Good Morning, Vietnam" (1987), the Shelley Long comedy "Outrageous Fortune" (1987) and the comedy sequel "Return of the Living Dead Part II" (1988) with James Karen. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Perry Mason: The Case of the Avenging Ace" (NBC, 1987-88). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "How I Got Into College" (1989) and the Bill Cosby comedy "Ghost Dad" (1990). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Life Goes On" (ABC, 1989-1993). McIntire more recently appeared in "Acceptable Risks" (ABC, 1995-96).
