Jerome Moross, a talented musician, produced music for many Hollywood productions. Moross began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "The Captive City" (1952). He was nominated for an Academy Award for "The Big Country" in 1958. . In the fifties and the sixties, Moross's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Jeff Chandler western "The Jayhawkers" (1959), the James Stewart dramatic adaptation "The Mountain Road" (1960) and the Rosalind Russell dramatic adaptation "Five Finger Exercise" (1962). His work was also in the Tom Tryon dramatic adaptation "The Cardinal" (1963). Moross's music was also featured in "The War Lord" (1965) with Charlton Heston, "Rachel, Rachel" (1968) and the dramatic adaptation "Hail, Hero!" (1969) with Michael Douglas. Moross was most recently credited in "Varsity Blues" (1999) with James Van Der Beek. Moross passed away in July 1983 at the age of 70.
