Jerry Hadley
Jerry Hadley became an actor when he was just 17 years old. Hadley worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Evening at Pops" (PBS, 1969-2002). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Pavarotti Plus!" (1985-86), "A Grand Night: The Performing Arts Salute Public Television" (PBS, 1987-88) and "Bernstein at 70" (PBS, 1988-89). He also appeared in "Flicka and Friends: From Rossini to "Show Boat"" (1989-1990), "The Show Boat Story" (PBS, 1989-1990) and "Don Giovanni" (PBS, 1990-91). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio" (1991-92), "Handel's Messiah: The 250th Anniversary Performance" (Channel 4, 1992-93) and "Richard Tucker Gala: A Salute to American Music" (PBS, 1992-93). He also appeared in "Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall" (PBS, 1992) and "The Richard Tucker Opera Gala: American Voices" (PBS, 1993-94). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "James Levine 25th Anniversary Gala" (1995-96), "Cosi Fan Tutte" (PBS, 1996-97) and "Great Performers at Lincoln Center: A Celebration of the American Musical" (PBS, 1996-97). He also appeared in "Thomas Hampson: I Hear America Singing" (1996-97), "San Francisco Opera Gala Celebration" (PBS, 1997-98) and "The Richard Tucker Opera Gala and Picture Show" (PBS, 1997-98). Hadley last appeared on "Leonard Bernstein: Reaching For the Note" (PBS, 1998-99). Hadley passed away in July 2007 at the age of 55.
