Joan Roberts

Joan Roberts was an actress who has played on a variety of television shows. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Pine Canyon Is Burning" (NBC, 1976-77) and "The Castaways on Gilligan's Island" (NBC, 1978-79). She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Colorado C.I." (CBS, 1977-78) and "A Rock and a Hard Place" (NBC, 1980-81). She continued her comedic performances throughout the eighties, appearing on"Private Benjamin" (CBS, 1980-83) and "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993). She also appeared in the TV special "Quick and Quiet" (CBS, 1980-81). Most commonly known for her voice work, Roberts also acted in "The Designing Women Special: Their Finest Hour" (CBS, 1989-1990). Most recently, Roberts worked on the Cate Blanchett dramatic adaptation "Truth" (2015).
