June Pointer
June Pointer brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Pointer worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Fame, Fortune & Romance" (ABC, 1985-87), "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983) starring Chevy Chase and "Protocol" (1984). She also contributed to "The Pointer Sisters in Paris" (Showtime, 1985-86). In the eighties and the nineties, Pointer's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Danny Jordano comedy "Playing for Keeps" (1986), the comedy "Working Girl" (1988) with Harrison Ford and "The Fabulous Baker Boys" (1989) with Jeff Bridges. Pointer's music was also featured in the action flick "Hot Shots! Part Deux" (1993) with Charlie Sheen, the Bruce Willis dramedy "The Story of Us" (1999) and the Sally Hawkins comedic drama "Happy-Go-Lucky" (2008). Pointer was most recently credited in the Shia LaBeouf hit action picture "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009). Pointer passed away in April 2006 at the age of 53.
