As a musician, Pete Rugolo's entertaining and creative music was in a variety of Hollywood productions. Rugolo began his music career in television with features on shows like "Leave It to Beaver" (1957-1963). He followed this honor with songs in the dramatic adaptation "The Sweet Ride" (1968) with Anthony Franciosa. Rugolo was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Thriller" in 1961. . An an actor as well as a musician, Rugolo took on a part in "Meet Me in Las Vegas" (1956). Rugolo was nominated for an Individual Achievements In Music Primetime Emmy Award for "Run For Your Life" in 1966 as well as for an Individual Achievements In Music Primetime Emmy Award for "Run For Your Life" in 1967. Rugolo was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Do You Take This Stranger?" in 1971. He followed this honor with songs in "Foxtrot" (1975). "The Invisible Man" (1975-76), "The Blue Knight" (CBS, 1975-1984) and "Jigsaw John" (NBC, 1975-76). also featured Rugolo's musicHis music was also featured in films like "Buddy Buddy" (1981) and the crime drama "This World, Then the Fireworks" (1997) with Billy Zane. Rugolo most recently worked on "Disney's Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra in Concert" (Disney, 1998-99). Rugolo passed away in October 2011 at the age of 96.
